California Interagency Incident Management Team 3 is one of 17 national Type 1 Teams.  Type 1 Teams are national resources which can be sent anywhere in the US, when needed. The goal of CA IIMT 3 is to provide professional incident management public service through flexible planning, decisive implementation, professional execution and constant assessment of actions taken.  We are capable, equipped, well-trained, and experienced to provide leadership through any course of action that is appropriate, flexible and inclusive to those we serve. 

The Team is comprised of individuals from federal, state and local wildland fire and emergency services agencies.  This combination of talents provides a depth of knowledge and skill that allows the Team to respond effectively to the varied assignments we have received.

The Teams’ Objectives are to:

Create and maintain a highly motivated, well qualified, experienced, diverse and fully integrated incident management team membership

Provide an integrated, flexible incident management approach to effectively handle an assigned or evolving mission in a safe, effective manner

Create and maintain a professional yet cordial, relaxed atmosphere that invites all cooperators, partners and publics to productively participate.
